Fr. George Ratzinger Passes on to Eternity

Father George Ratzinger, Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI's brother, was called on to eternity today. May he rest in God's peace. K-TV sends its most sincere condolences to Pope Benedict and will pray for the repose of his soul.

This occurs only a week after Pope Benedict visited him a last time in Regensburg due to serious illness. The two brothers prayed together and celebrated the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Tonight K-TV will broadcast the Holy Mass for the deceased in Gossau at this link.

The brothers were ordained on the same day of 29 June in 1951, by Cardinal Michael von Faulhaber of Munich. Father Ratzinger directed the Regensburger Domspatzen choir from 1964 until 1994.

Father Ratzinger gave an interview available below about his brother.
